1.In order to test out the accuracy of the results of optical power meter, cleaning with a cleaning pen is required before use regardless of the instrument or the optical fiber interface;
2.First, detect a section of wire jumper and use 1310nm wavelength for the detection of fiber power meter;
3.One end needs to be connected with a stable light source, and the other end needs to be connected with an optical power meter, thereafter a loss value will appear on optical power meter;
4.Clean the test data by pressing REF button of optical power meter and connect the jump wire with the tested fiber through SC-SC coupler, which makes the test results more accurate. After a few seconds, a stable numerical value will occur on power meter for fiber optic;
5.After the test, the numerical value appeared on optical power meter is the loss value of this optical fiber.
